help center with an MCP server · updated

A help center your AI agent can update

the short answer

teem is a help center with an MCP server, so ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Cursor and Codex can list, read, draft, update and publish your help articles and topics after you sign in with OAuth. With draft access the agent can only write drafts and nothing goes public; publishing needs write access. teem costs $49 a month flat for up to 5 people and also includes live chat, a shared inbox, a feature request board and a changelog that emails voters.

Why a help center needs an agent

Docs go stale the week you ship. The questions that show what's missing arrive in chat, not in the docs tool. In teem the same connection that reads your inbox can draft the article that answers it, and you review the draft before it goes live.

how it works

How it works in teem

  1. Three access levels: read covers conversations, feedback, the changelog and help articles; draft adds changelog and help-article drafts, and nothing goes public; write adds publishing and deleting.
  2. The agent can list, create, update, delete and reorder help topics, and list, read, create, update, preview, publish, unpublish and delete help articles, or discard unpublished changes.
  3. Editing is separate from publishing. Creating or updating an article never publishes it; the agent publishes by naming the latest revision.
  4. Customers search the help center from the widget, and it's published on your own domain.

the checklist

What to look for

  1. The agent writes drafts by default; publishing is a separate permission.
  2. OAuth sign-in rather than pasting API keys.
  3. The help center lives in the same widget your customers already chat in.
  4. No per-AI-answer meter.

who should pick which

Pick teem, or pick something else

Pick teem

if you are 1–5 people and want docs, chat, a board and a changelog your agent can work in, on one $49 bill.

Pick HelpDocs or Document360

if documentation is a large product of its own with many editors, versions or languages.

Pick Helpdesky

if you want a very cheap help center with an AI agent answering customers.

Pick HelpCenter.io

if you only need a help center and want staged edits to live articles.

questions

What people ask before an agent edits their docs.

Which help center tools have an MCP server?

HelpCenter.io, HelpDocs, Document360, Helpdesky and teem all list one on their own sites (checked Oct 30, 2026). teem is the one that also includes live chat, a feature request board and a changelog, for $49 a month flat for up to 5 people.

Can my AI agent update my help center in teem?

Yes. Connect ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Cursor or Codex to teem's MCP server, sign in, and choose read, draft or write access. With draft access it can write and edit articles but cannot publish them.

Will the agent publish without me?

Not unless you give it write access. Creating or updating an article never publishes it; publishing is its own step.

Does teem have an AI chatbot that answers customers from the help center?

No. Customers search the help center in the widget, and a person on your team answers every chat.
