Terms of Service
Last updated October 1, 2026
These terms cover your use of teem, the service m4x, LLC runs at teem.so. "We" means m4x. "You" means the person who signs up and the organization they sign up for. By creating an account or installing the widget, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.
Your account
You need a valid email address to sign in. Keep access to that inbox and to any API tokens you create, because anyone holding them can act as you. The owners of an organization decide who joins it and what each member can do.
Your content and your visitors
You own what you and your visitors put into teem. You give us permission to store, process and display it only so teem can run for you. You install the widget on your own site, so you tell your visitors how you use their data, and you get any consent the law requires of you.
Acceptable use
Don't use teem to send spam, to break the law, to harass people, to upload malware, or to probe or overload the service. Don't resell teem or copy it. We may suspend an organization that does any of this, and we'll tell its owners why.
Slack and other connections
When you connect Slack, you authorize teem to read and post in the channels you invite it to, under Slack's terms as well as these. You can disconnect at any time in Settings.
Plans and billing
A new organization gets a 7-day free trial. After it, a paid plan keeps the organization running at the price Stripe shows at checkout. Subscriptions renew until you cancel them in Settings → Billing. When you cancel, the plan stays active through the period you paid for. We don't refund partial periods. If we change a price, we'll email owners at least 30 days before it applies to them.
Ending service
You can delete your organization in Settings at any time, which removes its data as the Privacy Policy describes. We may end service for an organization that breaks these terms or doesn't pay. If we ever shut teem down, we'll give owners at least 30 days' notice to export their data.
No warranty
We work to keep teem fast and available, but we provide it "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, m4x isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim about teem won't exceed what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes
When these terms change, the date at the top changes too. For a change that affects your rights, we'll email each organization's owners before it takes effect. If you keep using teem after that, you accept the new terms.
