To understand what is teem and why it was born, we need to go back to Ideaware. Ideaware is a leading outsourcing company based in Colombia known for bringing top nearshore talent to support tech companies in their growth journey. It was founded in 2010 by Andres Max, the driving force behind teem.
As Ideaware grew, so did our needs. We found ourselves buried in more documentation each day, PTOs were difficult to track, and waiting for HR to send documents or share information with management felt like forever. Plus, organizing events and sharing announcements through Slack got tricky; the more we talked there, the more difficult it was to find old announcements. That’s when we realized we needed a better solution: a feed where we could easily share, filter, and interact with all our news and events, and a place where we could manage the team without the documentation hassle.
What’s teem?
Teem is a web app that simplifies team management and engagement, combining easy HR with the power of AI! We wanted to build something that helps companies track who’s available or on PTO, document observations and feedback, and stay connected with everyone in one place. Documentation is neatly organized, and users can easily post events, announcements, and threads.
